The owner of a manufacturer’s rep firm had another business that had much more upside potential.
Initially, Griffioen Consulting was hired by the manufacturer’s rep firm to help with business development. Once on-board however, it became clear that the owner of the rep firm also owned a fledgling e-commerce startup in a different line of business.
It was apparent that the e-commerce startup had significantly more growth potential than the rep firm. After some discussion, the owner allowed the consulting support to shift to focus on sales & marketing for the startup business.
The existing e-commerce website was not performing well in terms of attracting visitors and generating sales. The first phase of the solution was to hire a marketing agency for the development and launch of a brand new website using an established e-commerce platform.
A significant increase in visitors was achieved by running Google Ads. This, combined with a much more compelling, state-of-the-art website, resulted in a significant increase in the conversion rate and sales. In addition, the customer support organization was strengthened.
A significant money-back trial helped to lower the risk for customers to try the product. This also had a positive effect on sales.
Sales of the e-commerce startup increased significantly. The company became profitable and achieved its first $1M in sales. Currently, the company’s sales are estimated at around $10M.Back to Case Studies
